Shaverman , May 27, When I used the Fusion Power I got weeks of daily shaves out of each cartridge. Not DFS, but serviceable shaves. I would milk those for every stroke ok, I just read that I think three weeks or so was average lifetime for me. They'd be pretty dull by the time I replaced them. Omaney , May 27, ObiDon likes this. I haven't used a Fusion in years and really don't plan using one again. Ryan B , May 27, The problem I found with fusion cartridges had nothing to do with the sharpness of the blade but rather the plastic strip on the cartridge which is the only real source of slickness to the shave.
For the first week it is great and the blade glides around your face. Then that plastic strip is already becoming useless, as Gillette shave gel doesn't really give much lubrication you rely on the plastic strip to give slickness for your shave.
Now that after a week the strip is no longer working, this would be the best time to change the blade, but you can't , cos you told the wife 'Look it says on the box that these four cartridges will last about 24 weeks so it is worth all the money.
